 My name is Austin Shuler and I am currently 16 years old. Four years ago my life totally changed when I was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer. The treatments have taken so much from me but have given me my life in return. I currently have another cyst growing in my head but I don’t let that stop me from my life goal of hunting and fishing.
The USSA group has given me the opportunity to go fishing along with hunting for deer, bear, and turkey. These trips would otherwise have only been dreams but USSA made my dreams come true. 
At home I don’t normally have a lot of energy or friends. But when I go to a hunting or fishing event I find myself with plenty of both. My mom says it is an amazing transformation when I am with them.
I would love to talk with other hunters out there and share my story. I am not sure what my future holds but I want to help others through this group. Like Brigid, I don’t believe in giving up.
